Your role

Within 2Connect, we are looking for a Sales Engineer II for the Medical & Industrial Automation (MIA) business line. In this role, you are responsible for translating customer requirements into technically feasible solutions and guiding projects from initial request through to first production. You will work on applications such as sensors, automation equipment, medical devices, and industrial systems, often in high-mix, low-to-medium volume environments.

You operate at the heart of the organization, continuously interacting with customers, internal departments, and international manufacturing locations. You ensure that technical challenges are properly defined, aligned, and successfully implemented.

The role is technical and project‑driven, with a clear position between sales, engineering, and operations. You provide substantive support to account management and inside sales but do not carry final commercial responsibility yourself.

You will work in a dynamic environment where multiple projects run in parallel and priorities continuously shift. This requires strong oversight, structure, stakeholder management, and a high level of ownership.

Your responsibilities

Translate customer requests into technically feasible and manufacturable solutions

Assess technical drawings and specifications for manufacturability

Guide projects from initial request through to first production (NPI)

Coordinate samples, prototypes, and validation activities

Align with colleagues at our (international) manufacturing locations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and lead time

Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal departments to keep projects on track

Provide technical support to account managers and inside sales

Monitor priorities and progress across multiple concurrent projects

Ensure timely follow‑up and obtain required information from stakeholders

Who are you?

You have a bachelor’s level of thinking and working, with a technical field of study

You have approximately 3 to 7 years of experience in a technical or project‑based environment

You are able to read technical drawings and assess them for manufacturability

You maintain oversight in a dynamic environment with multiple projects running simultaneously

You work in a structured manner and are able to set clear priorities

You are proactive in gathering information and are not afraid to ask follow‑up questions

You take ownership and are capable of independently managing projects

You communicate easily with a wide range of stakeholders

You have a good command of Dutch and English; German is a plus

You are willing to travel internationally a few times per year, depending on project and customer needs

You have experience operating independently in customer-facing technical projects

You are comfortable challenging requirements and proposing alternative technical solutions

Binnen 2Connect zoeken wij een Sales Engineer II voor de business line Medical & Industrial Automation (MIA). In deze rol ben je verantwoordelijk voor het vertalen van klantvragen naar technisch maakbare oplossingen en het begeleiden van projecten van aanvraag tot eerste productie. Je werkt aan toepassingen zoals sensoren, automatiseringsapparatuur, medische appraten en industriële systemen, vaak binnen omgevingen met een hoge variatie en lage tot middelgrote volumes.

Je bevindt je in het hart van de organisatie en schakelt continu tussen klanten, interne afdelingen en internationale productielocaties. Je zorgt ervoor dat technische vraagstukken worden uitgewerkt, afgestemd en daadwerkelijk gerealiseerd.

De rol is technisch en projectmatig van aard en heeft een duidelijke positie tussen sales, engineering en operatie. Je ondersteunt accountmanagement en inside sales inhoudelijk, maar draagt zelf geen commerciële eindverantwoordelijkheid.

Je werkt in een dynamische omgeving waarin meerdere projecten parallel lopen en prioriteiten continu verschuiven. Dit vraagt om overzicht, structuur, stakeholdermanagement en eigenaarschap.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

Je vertaalt klantaanvragen naar technisch haalbare en produceerbare oplossingen

Je beoordeelt technische tekeningen en specificaties op maakbaarheid

Je begeleidt projecten van aanvraag tot en met eerste productie (NPI)

Je coördineert samples, prototypes en validaties

Je stemt af met je collega’s bij onze (internationale) productielocaties om maakbaarheid, kwaliteit en doorlooptijd te borgen
