Purchaser Berries Hoofdman-Roodzant is a fruit and vegetable trading company focused on the CIS region, Ukraine, the Middle East, and the Far East. Since 1968, we have been active in sourcing and supplying fresh produce to both wholesale and retail customers in international markets. To support our growth, we are looking for a Purchaser Berries to join our team in Barendrecht. Purchaser Berries Your Role As Purchaser Berries, you will be responsible for sourcing various kinds of berries through both local importers and growers directly in countries of origin. You will maintain existing supplier relationships and look for new sourcing opportunities within the market. You will work closely with sales and logistics to ensure product availability, quality, and continuity. Key Responsibilities - Purchasing berries from local importers - Sourcing berries directly from growers in countries of origin - Maintaining relationships with growers, exporters, and importers - Negotiating prices and commercial programs - Monitoring market developments, crop situations, and seasonal trends Who You Are You are proactive, commercially minded, and comfortable working in a fast-moving trading environment. You take responsibility, communicate clearly, and know how to build long-term supplier relationships. Your Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in fresh produce sourcing/export - Experience within berries is strongly preferred - Good communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus) - Willingness to travel when needed - Commercial and hands-on mindset Not sure if you tick all the boxes?
