Oracle APEX Developer

<p>Job Title: Oracle Apex Developer<br /> Location: Remote<br /> Start Date: June<br /> Job Type: Contract- Inside IR35</p><p>Our client is looking for an experienced Oracle APEX Developer to support the delivery of secure, scalable enterprise applications.</p><p>The successful candidate will have strong Oracle APEX development experience, advanced PL/SQL skills, and experience building responsive, user-focused applications with integrated APIs and AI-enabled capabilities.</p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Design, develop, and enhance enterprise applications using Oracle APEX.</li><li>Build responsive and mobile-friendly applications, including Progressive Web Applications.</li><li>Develop and integrate secure RESTful APIs using Oracle REST Data Services.</li><li>Deliver backend functionality using advanced PL/SQL.</li><li>Use JavaScript to support dynamic UI functionality and asynchronous API integrations.</li><li>Support the development of AI-enabled applications using RAG architectures and LLM integration patterns.</li><li>Work with Oracle database technologies, including Autonomous Database and Autonomous Data Warehouse.</li><li>Collaborate with stakeholders, distributed teams, and third-party vendors.</li><li>Follow secure application design principles and SDLC best practices.</li></ul><p>Required Skills and Experience</p><ul><li>Expert-level Oracle APEX development experience.</li><li>Strong experience with ORDS, RESTful APIs, and secure API endpoint development.</li><li>Advanced PL/SQL development skills.</li><li>Strong full-stack or backend development experience.</li><li>Good JavaScript experience, particularly around API integrations and dynamic UI development.</li><li>Experience developing responsive, user-focused application interfaces.</li><li>Experience with AI capabilities, RAG architectures, and LLM integration patterns.</li><li>Understanding of Agile, Waterfall, JIRA, and Kanban delivery environments.</li><li>Strong communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.</li><li>Understanding of cloud security best practices.</li></ul><p>Desirable Skills</p><ul><li>Oracle Cloud Infrastructure experience.</li><li>AI agent orchestration, prompt/context management, or agentic workflow development.</li><li>Oracle Machine Learning experience.</li><li>CI/CD and DevOps practices.</li></ul><p>If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply now with your updated CV in Microsoft Word/PDF format.</p><p>Disclaimer<br /> Notwithstanding any guidelines given to level of experience sought, we will consider candidates from outside this range if they can demonstrate the necessary competencies.<br /> Square One is acting as both an employment agency and an employment business, and is an equal opportunities recruitment business.
