2nd Shift Hours: 3:00pm-11:00pm SUMMARY: The Machine Operator will be responsible for performing various tasks to operate, monitor, and troubleshoot a variety of assigned machines and will also be responsible for inspecting components to specifications. Operates a production machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The following is a list of minimum responsibilities related to the Machine Operator position. Other duties may also be assigned. Effectively operate a variety of machines and maintain quality of packaging within assigned Center of Excellence. Maintain a constant vigilance to the quality of the packaging process and reports issues when they arise in a timely manner to the mechanic Clears jams, changes labels, replaces ribbons, films, tape, neck band material, cotton and adjusts accordingly. Records necessary date as required on all machine logs, downtime reports, and material yield logs. Checks quality Lot# Exp Date of packages in assigned room and assists with equipment challenges. Reads and understands Human Machine Interface screens and alarms. Communicate with Line Leader and Material Handlers to ensure all production components are never in shortage. Maintains cleanliness of equipment and work area. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. PREFERRED / REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Detail oriented. Basic computer skills and experience with spreadsheets, word processing and database. Previous employment in a cGMP compliant facility and in a pick & pack operations is preferred along with inventory control or quality control.
