Electrician

October 22nd, 2025 in Physical Plant Department Job Description POSITION SUMMARY We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial electrical work, demonstrating proficiency in a variety of electrical systems and tools. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety practices, The Electrician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems while ensuring compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Performs various corrective/preventive repairs as assigned for building maintenance. - Maintains inventory of items such as light bulbs and equipment parts. - Conducts inspections and repairs of lights. Indoor & outdoor. - Familiar with high & low voltage. - Completes assigned work orders as needed and may assist other departments. - Perform any other maintenance duties or tasks as assigned. - General knowledge blueprints and schematics. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS - High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) - Minimum of 1 year of experience - Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license. - Unlimited journeyman’s license OTHER REQUIREMENTS - Ability to pay attention to the details of a project or task. - Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more, be able to stand and/or walk 8 hours a day. - Must be familiar with all common hand tools and their uses. - Ability to climb and maneuver a ladder and be comfortable with heights. - N.E.O offers excellent benefits.
