Accounting Specialist

In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor de nauwkeurigheid, volledigheid en tijdigheid van de financiële administratie voor toegewezen entiteiten. Je voert maand- en jaarafsluitingen uit, bereidt wettelijke rapportages voor en draagt bij aan de EMEA consolidatie onder zowel NL GAAP als US GAAP. Daarnaast ondersteun je minder ervaren teamleden en fungeer je als Key User voor SAP. Met jouw sterke kennis van accountingprincipes en procesverbetering, ben je een waardevolle aanvulling op ons team. • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the financial administration for assigned entities. • Perform month-end and year-end closings, including intercompany reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and correcting discrepancies. • Prepare statutory reports, VAT, customs, and statistical filings in compliance with local regulations. • Contribute to the EMEA consolidation under both NL GAAP and US GAAP. • Safeguard SOX compliance through proper documentation, reconciliations, and journal entry approvals. • Coordinate and support annual audits with external auditors. • Support and mentor less experienced accounting team members. • Act as Key User for SAP, ensuring optimal use of financial systems and contributing to change and improvement initiatives. • Provide insightful financial analyses on balance sheets, P&L, and cash flow forecasts. • Actively contribute to process improvements and automation projects within Financial Services.

• Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Accounting, Finance, or Business Economics. • Proven experience in financial accounting, preferably within an international environment. • Solid knowledge of Dutch GAAP and/or US GAAP; experience with SOX is a plus. • Experience with ERP systems.
